FOLI (there is no movement without rhythm) original version by Thomas Roebers and Floris Leeuwenberg
Here’s a cool youtube video I came across some time ago which shows the interconnection of rhythm to everyday activities in Guinea, West Africa: walking, working, singing and playing music together. I like the images beginning at 1’50" where they show the process of making a djembe, from cutting down the tree to carving the body and forging the rings and bells, and then finally stretching the skin and shaving the fur.
